There is much misunderstood about the nature of Intent. Intent is a force of the Nagual that has its own flow. Part of the Toltec Path is to place ourselves in alignment with that flow.

Intent exists in the eternal now. When we are grasping or repelling, we throw ourselves out of the now. If we fear we may lose our job, for example, we may begin to repel the feeling of insecurity. Or we may begin to grasp at a dream we have of starting our own business. The dream may be real. It may be part of our Dreamer’s plan for us. This plan is carried to us on the flow of Intent. However the power to manifest the dream exists only in the now. If, due to our insecurity of loosing our job, we grasp at the dream we have moved off center, out of the eternal now and lost our power.

This is a basic mistake common in today’s “just do it” society whereby we engage our will to repel what we don’t want, and grasp at what we do want. When we are using our will to repel or grasp we are out of alignment with Intent, which only exists in the flow of the eternal now.

When used improperly, affirmations can also throw us off of our power point, which exists in the now. We may affirm, “I am prosperous.” over and over again trying to grasp at prosperity. By doing this we truly become, “beside our Self.” We become disconnected to who we are. Self exists in the eternal now.

When you are in flow, existing in the now, you become aware of Intent and what your Dreamer intends for you. Intent is much larger than we, the human personality are. By being in the flow we are able to harness the unlimited power of Intent.

Many read about Intent and they mistakenly believe that they, the personality self, encompass Intent. They scream, “I intend to be rich!” They grasp. By doing so they go off center, out of the eternal now, and pit the small intent of the human personality at odds with the Intent of the Nagual. If you wish to harness the unlimited power of Intent, you must align the small human personality will to the larger will of the Dreamer. Intent encompasses the human personality, not the other way around.

As above so below. Many try to force the “above” to match the “below”. The “above” is infinitely larger than the “below”.

How do we find the eternal now? Stalk the force where you repel in life. Stalk the force where you grasp in life. Out of stalking the two the third force of the now will become apparent to you. Stay in the now. By staying in the now you will begin to perceive the flow of Intent. Align self to this flow. It is the point of power. When we completely align the human tonal to the Intent of the Nagual we reach the point where, as Toltecs say, “The Command of the Eagle becomes the Command of the Warrior.”
