It has to do with the timeframe we are presently in - where we are presently in the cycle of devolution and evolution. Our galaxy orbits around what you could call the Source Light every 36,000 years or so (the number of years isn’t important, what is important is the impact this has on humanity’s spiritual evolution. Suffice it to say that one cycle is hundreds of thousands of times longer than our lifetime). The orbit is lopsided. That is to say that it begins nearly touching the Source Light, then extends out far from the Source Light. The closer the orbit point is to the Source Light, the higher the frequency of the Earth Life System. The farther the way the orbit point, the denser the timeframe. As the orbit point moves away from the Source Light, humanity de-evolves. As the orbit point circles back around to the Source Light, humanity evolves. This cycle of devolution and evolution continuously repeats itself.

What Toltecs call the Dreamer is able to dream a lifetime any where upon this orbit in any timeframe. We are individually one dream (lifetime) of the Dreamer. It so happens that your present lifetime is taking place at a place where the orbit point has just turned the corner from devolution to evolution. This is why there is so much chaos and upset in present day humanity. You still have strong forces of devolution. And, you have the beginnings of evolution. These forces often clash. This is also why a spiritual path is so difficult during this timeframe. It is still very dense. Five thousand years from now it will be much less dense as the orbit point will be closer to the Source Light.

Just a few hundred years ago, times were much denser than they are now. History calls these times the ‘dark’ ages for good reason. If you were suspected of practicing anything but the dominate religion of the time and place you were in, your life could have been at risk. It was necessary to practice Spiritual Growth Schools in secrecy. Even in the USA, it wasn’t that long ago that you could be burned as a witch by merely sneezing too much. The times were very dense.

Toltec Nagualism was first unveiled to mass consciousness in the 60’s through Carlos Castaneda. Since then, a number of people have brought more of the path out into the open. Many other Schools and Religions have come out of secrecy during this timeframe.

Why is this important? It is important because, as timeframes change, so does the way you approach a spiritual path. The old paradigms that worked in denser timeframes are no longer as effective in the present timeframe. One basic difference in the timeframe you are now in is that you no longer need to isolate yourself away in a temple, ashram or monastery to do spiritual work. In fact, in the new timeframe you are in, it is essential that you do not isolate yourself from Society.

In denser times, it was necessary to hide your spiritual quests from Society. Now, to come fully in your power, you must be actively engaged in life. It is a challenging time, however, because it is still a dense timeframe, and there are strong de-evolutionary forces at play. Yet, you chose to come into this timeframe for the challenge of it. There are things you can accomplish spiritually-wise that you simply could not in a lighter timeframe – say 10,000 years in the future.

I will speak more about this in a future dissertation, however, as we move closer to the Source Light, the need for a specific Spiritual path or religion becomes unnecessary. When it is dark you need a flashlight. The flash light is the particular path, whether it is Buddhist, Christian, White Magic, Toltec, or whatever. As the orbit point gets closer to the Source Light there is more light. You no longer need a flashlight to shine your way. You will have a direct connection without the need for the structure of a particular path.

You will still need help. You cannot successfully walk a spiritual path alone. This is true because our very nature is connectedness. We ultimately come from the same place. As you evolve you move from separateness to individuality to collectiveness to oneness.

There are a few who are already taking this step of moving beyond the need for a structured path. It is advanced work.
