The nagual is unstructured, the tonal is structured. The tonal organizes and structures the nagual. Knowingness is unstructured. We bring knowingness into the tonal which gives it structure and it becomes knowledge.

A warrior must be adept at working the laws of both the tonal (form) and the nagual (energy). The riddle here is that the laws of form contradict the laws of energy. The laws contradict but are not in opposition. To manifest that which we desire in our life we must be able to use both the laws of energy and the laws of form.

It is only when you embark on the Path of Destiny that true spiritual evolution begins. When we begin our spiritual path we are on a path of growth. Growth is a horizontal flow. Evolution is a vertical flow. When we are working on the Masteries of Awareness and Transformation we are in our growth. We are working horizontally in the Tonal. The Mastery of Intent marks the beginning of evolution. We are working vertically with the energy of our Dreamer, which comes to us through intent.

Humans are the only species that have a peculiar tendency to disconnect themselves from that which they are. We do this through our ideas, concepts, and beliefs. We literally create worlds that exist only ‘in our heads’ and convince ourselves that they are real.

Here is an exercise that, if used properly, you will use the rest of your life. It consists of bringing your energy back to your core - the warriors place of power. It is in some ways similar to recapitulation in that you are returning your energy back to self.

A fundamental goal for the warrior is to perceive all possible perceptions available to man. In order to accomplish this we are given tools such as “inner silence”, “stopping the world”, “not doing” and “erasing personal history” to break our habitual conceptualization of the world, free up our perception, and loosen our assemblage point.
